Caroline blew warm breath into her dry, frigid hands as the chestnut foal was collected by its handler and lead out of the arena; tail still held high and proudly bobbing along side its handler. There were was a buzzing murmur of other bidders discussing their opinions on the little foal's performance, conformation and general appearance. Beside her, Ian was leaning over to snicker something about chestnuts. Caroline closed her eyes and exhaled through her nose. "We don't need any more chestnuts, thank you." Irritation scraped itself into her noble voice and she made a quick movement to smack Ian's face out of her personal space. Everyone waited patiently for the next foal to step onto the scene and Caroline watched the arena absently, beginning to lose hope in the selection of foals at the auction. The more foals that came out, the farther away they were from what she was looking for. "A re re re and a rote tote tote," Ian began to chant to satisfy his boredom. "Three little red men in three little red coats-" Ian's voice was drowned out by the announcement of the final foal available for the day. All eyes were on the entrance of the arena but could only see the pink shirt of a handler walking toward the lit arena. Soon it became clear that beside her was a little black colt with streaks of white reaching up his belly like black paint chipping off of a glass figurine to reveal the bright porcelain underneath. The golden haired woman walked the small colt around for all to see him before turning him loose in the arena. Ian and Caroline simultaneously leaned forward out of their seats to watch the colt dance around the floor. At long last, a black arabian. "Caroline-" "I know." The two didn't even look at each other, but they knew what the other was thinking; they needed this colt.

Whoops, sorta forgot to decide the winners. You won! But is there any chance that you could reserve a breeding for me? I'd love t breed one of my horsies to him when he gets old enough!
