I wasn't feeling my original animation, "Train of Thought" was interesting enough and i got bored with it and went onto a side project in animation class which started as a lazer and progressively became a collection of animation tests including one of a horse doing simple movements (walking forward, swinging it's head, having it's attention caught, turning around, rearing, snorting, flicking it's tail, shaking it's head and bucking.) At the halfway mark of our deadline to finish our animation, my teacher tried to help me come up with some ideas involving the horse animation i had started. I told him about when i was a baby, my crib was right next to a window where a horse named Gil (who was Ben and Jerry's first horse, btw... fun fact) would look in my window and watch me sleep some times. He suggested i go with that story, so i did. The monster is just in there for the sake of conflict. It was rushed because i only had 4 weeks to work on it.
Ahhhhhh Aliwa you are a girl of many talents. You knowww.... I always remember that one movie Spirit, the one by disney with the horses. (one of my FAVORITE movies i used to watch it everyday) Anyway, I loved that movie and watched all the speical features n all. I remember them saying that one of the hardest animals to animate (EVEN JUST DRAW WELL) was the horse.
Just seeing this animation by you, the simple rough sketches, just AMAZES ME. The movements are natural and fluid~ I enjoy the cuteness, and it's VERY well paced. The walk looks like a walk, and the run looks like a run! It's so cute and amazing. You are definitely the best drawer of horses I have ever known and you are well on your way to be an epic animator if you REALLY wanted and decided to!
You're an inspiration as a friend and as a fellow artist. <3
It looks like I have to kill you
YOU POSE AN ARTISTIC THREAT
